MCT:March 13, 2008Chopping Mall embodifies everything that was great about 80's horror films. From the cheesy dialogue, to the horrid acting, the awful clothing, and the ridiculous character types, Chopping Mall has it all, and what a fun ride it is!
To prevent crime, the mall has installed 3 security robots and steel shutters at night. Anyone who shouldn't be in the mall receives a non-lethal punishment...until something goes horribly wrong with the computer! This could spell trouble for the group of teens having a party in one of the stores.
This movie has so many laughable moments that you can't help but love it. I've seen it a handful of times and never get tired of it. Have your remote ready to rewind and replay your favorite scenes.
Considering you can probably buy this movie for less than it would cost you to rent it, everyone owes it to themselves to seek it out and enjoy the guilty pleasures of 80's horror at its finest. -

I loved this movie when I was a kid.
Classic horror from the 80's!
Synopsis: A group of teenagers that work at the mall all get together for a late night party in one of the stores. When the mall goes on lock down before they can get out, The robot security system activates after a malfunction and goes on a killing spree. One by one the three bots try to rid the mall of the "Intruders". The only weapons the kids can use are the supplies in other stores. Classic 80s teen horror. Very over-the-top, very cheesy, but still a fun movie. If you're a fan of the genre, you should enjoy this as well.

I just re-watched this the other night...so LAME! I forgot how bad it was..acting, graphics - just the whole thing. But you know what..it's an 80's horror flick..so I still love it and have it in my collection! But I know everyone won't! hehehe

its neither good or bad. the plot isnt scary at all, and some of the lines are terrible ("mm.. you smell like pepperoni!") but nevertheless fun to watch.

It's a terrible movie, one of those horror movies so stupid it's a comedy. Always being fascinated in old retail, some of that was interesting.
